Voodoo3 goodness and not-so goodness

After waiting almost 6 months for its release, I finally received my 3dfx Voodoo3 3500TV AGP video card. I was expecting great things from this card, which makes my disappointment even worse. The 3D portion of the card rocks - I've never seen better performance in Half-Life, Quake3 etc. However, the "value-added" features of the card just weren't up to snuff. The video capture was abysmal - low quality and choppy - and the TV tuner required that Microsoft's WebTV for Windows be installed (which caused lag in a couple of online games, namely Starseige:Tribes.) The long and short of it is, I sent the 3500 back in exchange for the Voodoo3 3000, with which I am much happier (and $75 richer.)
